ITS Artwork Award powered by Swatch Art Peace Hotel

Since its creation in 1983, conceived as a universal, democratic object, Swatch has thrived on diversity, multiplicity, dynamism, inclusion, and positive energies that intertwine, feed on each other, and multiply. Inspired by these same principles, the Swatch Art Peace Hotel opened in Shanghai in 2011. In the heart of China's most dynamic and vibrant metropolis, it stands as a unique space in terms of vision, dimensions, style, and capacity, open to artists of all generations, from all countries and across all disciplines. Among the 500+ artists hosted, several have been winners of the ITS Artwork Award powered by Swatch Art Peace Hotel in previous editions of ITS Contest.

This year, the Swatch Art Peace Hotel has selected six finalists from the ITS Contest 2023 applicants, inviting them to unleash their artistic souls with absolute freedom. They are encouraged to establish their language beyond products, to engage viewers with their emotions and artistic visions, working around positive messages and developing ideas that allow us to dream and step beyond reality, if only for a moment. Their artworks are manifestos of their beliefs, messages, attitudes, and hopes.

What if you could transform the usual into the new and unexpected? What if your artistic vision had more than one side, blending the real and unreal into a new uber-reality? What if the world were yours? These are some of the questions that the Swatch Art Peace Hotel posed to the ITS Artwork finalists.
