ITS 2020 explained episode 21: Changing self-perception with jewellery, by Jittrakarn Bunterngpiboon.
14 May 2021
Born 18th July 1986, Jittrakarn’s jewellery becomes a communication to the wearer, helping them to explore and fulfill their possible self expression and visions of the future world. She was selected as a finalist for ITS 2020 with her collection “Altered-native”
Jittrakarn’s ITS 2020 designs are an experiment, to explore how jewellery can alter the wearer’s own perception of self. They focus on the transformation of the facial appearance, the body part people mostly recognise with, by using reflection and distortion in 10 headpieces. 3D printing technology is used as a main production method, choosing Multi Jet Fusion (MJF) Plastic PA12 as the main material, which is high reusable, and combining it with polished metal, reflective acrylic and transparent crystals.
International Talent Support was launched in 2002 and throughout its history it has developed into the most highly recognized platform to showcase & support the strongest young talents on the planet. Most importantly, it created an ever-growing family supporting creativity, like branches on a tree growing in different directions, yet nurtured by the same roots. It has built an impressive Creative Archive, a unique collection tracing the history of fashion evolution. Many of the over 630 finalists were selected by top fashion brands where they now hold key positions, or have successfully developed their own lines.
