One of Tatjana’s friends published a zine about the abortion experience she had earlier this year. It depicted female pain in a visceral way, showing abortion as something that evokes deep and internalised traumas. Some of life’s biggest lessons can be felt through the body and are not rationalised in the mind. Abortion should always be a personal choice. It is something many only tell a few people about, and it is obscured by shame and secrecy in public discourse. Despite this, the reality of termination is far from private.
