technical description
Part of a conceptual and sculptural collection combining a range of techniques including casting, water jet cutting, soldering and milling, as well as traditional leather working techniques. Black leather shoes featuring a series of organic shape components joined together with gold snap buttons. Upper reminiscent of a skeleton. Pointed heel featuring an asymmetrical hole which is different on each shoe.

concept
Santiago Calatrava's working methods were the main inspiration in developing this collection. Looking at how Calatrava combined engineering techniques to make these designs more effective, creating new exciting architecture. The relationship between architecture design and fashion is very notable and Chan continues in this direction driving inspiration for these shoes. Taking the movements of a human body, focusing on specific parts - mainly the skeleton - that appeal to him in terms of aesthetics and re-develop them in his own way and style.
