A generation of talents developing touching narratives, dreaming of making the world a better place and celebrating the analog dimension of the printed book as a guardian of knowledge. One of their strongest trends was nostalgic memories of the family, above all of grandparents in this post-covid era, together with gender fluidity which no longer has anything to hide. Not even the designers themselves, frequently involved in modeling their own work.
Twenty years of ITS, and we could not be prouder to present you with the winners of this anniversary edition.

Awarded to Mata Durikovic, Slovakian

ITS Video Presentation Award
€3,000 awarded by ITS to the best fashion film, selected among all ITS Contest applications.
Awarded to Lucia Chain, Italian
Comment by the International Jury who assigned the award:
The project scratches at memories with a delicate and composed melancholy. The ghosts of a family history are projected into the present and reveal themselves to be alive, contemporary, fairy-tale-like in their milky clothes; they become ubiquitous in time and space, dressing asynchronous souls, dipped in an uninterrupted tale that recalls the old kitchens of now uninhabited houses, cultivated fields, grandmothers’ bedrooms. Today is pregnant with the life that was. The faces of the young people are modern, alien to those of their relatives, the fruit of an uninterruptedly contaminated becoming. The digital project is nourished by an exploration void of digital tricks and artifices. Only the power of feeling fills the emptiness and satiates it with memory.
ITS Digital fashion Award
€3,000 awarded by ITS to the best digital fashion project selected among all ITS Contest applications.
Awarded to Zong Bo Jiang & Xiaoling Jin, Chinese
Comment by former ITS finalists Aitor Throup and Keiga who assigned the award:
Aitor: “A highly detailed, immersive and surreal artwork that puts emphasis on the environment of the fashion creations. Very impressive conceptual consideration behind the components of the aesthetic system.”
Keiga: “A compelling and very unique aesthetic point creating a fabulous feeling of involvement, comfort and fantasy. Each character is depicted in minute detail and is clearly and closely linked to the concept. Similar to a ‘tableau vivant’, a series of interactive, fully 3D paintings invite the audience to interact with its characters. It made me yearn to enter into their world, if only this were possible.”
