technical description

Digitally printed neoprene bolero with meshed nylon and synthetic intarsia, a bomber jacket collar, frontal zip and contrasting piping. Matching sleeveless neoprene corset top with a digitally printed panel, patchwork neon tartan cones and straps and metallic charm detailing. Matched with a digitally printed lycra body suit featuring an abstract Lotto graphic, a padded metallic body suit with off-the-shoulder sleeves, a frontal zip closure and matching digitally printed cycling shorts with contrasting side panels and piping.

concept

Minjae approached creating futuristic, hybrid tennis wear to emphasise concepts of lightness and speed. She combined a bodysuit with a wind-breaker jacket to incorporate lightness and functionality. The graphic, futuristic and urban print designs were inspired by artist Isa Genzken and by her own previous collection. She included cut-outs, double-side fabrics and detachable parts, and used deadstock, upcycled vintage sportswear fabrics mixed with Lycra & Nylon.
