Asymmetrical cotton and polyester sleeveless hooded top with a cut-out panel section, pulling strings and intarsia using various materials. Matched with a long cotton and polyester satin skirt with a ruffled rim, intarsia using various materials, sculptured front panels and bias-cut sections.

concept

Cultivating the theory of conceptual reciprocation through culture, Cameron's work explores responsible creativity (biodegradable natural Ugandan bark fabrics, plastic waste and replacing dyeing with hand painting) and modern day solutions drawing from ideology and traditions of cultural groups. He manages to harness the wrapping styles of Nuba people from Sudan that transport objects while fleeing violence from government forces, into the cut and construction of his collection. The apparent contradiction of this organic, frugal way of dressing is blended with harsh inorganic textures and style references from Cameron's experience growing up in South London’s working class environment. It fuses stories of internal displacement to depict a sustainable vision of a future free from cultural, ideological and physical displacement.
