concept

Joanne's pieces celebrate sensuality and eroticism and question perception. What we see is different from what we feel. She created something that exists between seen and unseen, between the private and the public, the real and the imagined. An erotic place mixed with darkness and lightness, which expresses the preciousness of intimacy, the subtlety of a feeling, the boldness of the body. Interested in the notion of pleasure and pain, she explored the erogenous world, looking for the right balance between power and fragility. By challenging placement, she wants to activate feelings on the body and create new ways of wearing jewellery.
