concept

The Modern Girl Collection embraces Jimin Kim’s personal identity and influencing cultures.Through research of Korea's enlightenment period in the 1900s she discovered to share similarities with women of this time. Applying the traditional Korean knotting technique to textiles not just as a mere decoration but using it shape garments. This was key in the development of outfits, both visually and technically infusing collection with meaning and history.
