2019-hazuki-katagai-headpiece
technical description

Minimalist, functional and aluminium wire head piece with a hanging fringe featuring wavy white silk threads (each taken from a silkworm cocoon), intended to partially cover the face of the wearers and move according to their breath.

Size 950x190x5mm, 9gr., 2019

concept

The collection was inspired by the concept of breathing in Eastern philosophy: not merely a physical activity but a way to recognise one's own existence, to be aware of life itself. Specific instructions for each jewellery piece trigger the imagination of who wears it. By visualising the concept of breathing and how it can empower the imagination, Hazuki wants people to face their own true self in an honest way, cherishing the connection with others and bringing about more awareness about of all life on the planet.
