Bean's tailoring

2018-wujic-jo-eyewear
technical description

Part of an eyewear collection striking a perfect balance between a classic look and absurd British humour − almost like a tailored suit with an original twist. Tortoiseshell patterned acetate frame, with keyhole shaped bridge, rivets and chrome metal clip-on. The tiny metal windshield wipers on the clip not only wipe dirt from the lenses, but magically wipe away the entire sun filter.

Size 160x155x50mm, 53 gr., 2018.

concept

What if Mr Bean was a tailor? A creative process that begins with a specific character and own personal imagination to envision a complete wardrobe, including accessories and jewellery pieces. With touches of irony, like tiny windscreen wipers added to a pair of shades, recalling Mr. Bean's Mini Cooper. Looking at other items, a ring borrows the fastening from a hip flask and another pair of shades that incorporate the needle and thread mechanism of a sewing machine.
