With pink and green 3D printed resin elements reflecting a geometrical design and embellished with silver or yellow gold plated balls and elements with bezel-set round stones, both earrings are linked by a silver chain suspending a sequin flower pendant.

concept

Lauren Deveney, who suffers from the Moebius syndrome is the muse for this collection. From a very early age the paralysis of facial muscles made her unable to smile. This terribly affected her ability to make friends and socialise: people tend to consider her retarded, disinterested or absent for some reason. Wanting to direct attention onto the plight of people who undergo aggressive surgery or have facial distortions that have diminished or cancelled their capacity to express emotion through facial muscles. It is reminder, never forget to smile if you can. The most attractive expression is a smile: the orbicularis oris muscles (a complex of lip muscles surrounding the mouth) turn into a regular pentagon, a recurring shape in this collection.
