concept
An insect confined to amber time capsule, living an afterlife contemplating its existence as if it were a time-lapse. Despite many unanswered questions, the insect knows it is stuck in a valuable piece of Baltic amber. A jewellery collection, using amber as a symbol, contemplating its historic value and significance as a scientific tool to establish time periods of extinct species. Combining amber with industrial materials to present pieces that exemplify metaphors of time- the circles and loops represent the cycles of time - together with a refusal to be subjected to time.
