concept
Drawing from how Chinese traditional architecture balances function and decoration to construct a unique architectural system by using personal craftmanship language to building on the human body. Textiles are crocheted using copper wire and yarn, which creates an expansion/compression of the entire garment through movement of the body, inspired by traditional flexibility of joinery structures in architecture. What at first sight appear to be very rigid and structural pieces are actually light creations that can be instantly transformed by the simple pull of a string.
