technical description

Size 310x310x150mm, 1034 gr., 2016
concept
‘I love egg’. Contemplating eggs, the beauty and functionality of their shape, and how they recall the beginning of the world. This lead to the challenge of using actual egg shells to produce jewelry pieces, turning them into tiny pieces of handcrafted art. Inside each shell there is a personal interpretation of Utopia, entwining elements from baroque architecture, Gustav Klimt and Kintsugi, the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery using lacquer dusted or mixed with powdered gold, silver or platinum (at the same time philosophically treating cracks as part of the history of an object).
