technical description

Bracelet composed of a series of coloured acetate hexagonal ‘pixels’ individually cut onto bigger hexagonal layered supporting structures. The linked translucent blue and yellow elements catch the light and evoke the idea of a digital halo around the arm.

concept

Inspired by the idea of merging computer programming and visual arts into a physical object and exploring the concept of reimagining the sixth dimension to define it into a futuristic virtual space, this is a representation of an aura made up of millions of microscopic crystal coloured pixels that float on the edge of another dimension. Developing a technological-like appearance into three-dimensional material creates an illusionary feeling of movement, blurring the lines between being a physical object and playing with light, as if it were a digital veil wrapped around the body.
