concept

This jewelry collection proposes to operate on the premise of a parallel reality where fashion’s past is repeated as fashion’s present. As if playing on a constant loop, this parallel dimension dictates that from the 20th century onwards, the fashion cycles that span each century will be directly proportional to the next. Hence the year 2020 represents a return of the 1920s and the pressing line of inquiry therefore is: will this reincarnation roar again? Looking at futuristic architectural styles of shapes, playing with1920s jewellery decadence and extravagance, translating the ostentatious use of diamonds, crystals and gems like malachite by using sharp and reflective lasercut acrylic pieces.
