concept

The collection by designer Kim Shui explores the abstraction of the body in order to re-contextualize the feminine form. As painter and sculptor Ellsworth Kelly once said, “I think that if you can turn off the mind and look only with the eyes, ultimately everything becomes abstract”. By bringing everything back to the most basic and pure form, the body is removed from metaphors and associations and turns into a human form without weight, freedom of space or perspective.
