concept

Marie Cabirou researched and worked on the aesthetics of skeletons by looking at their graphism, structure and movement. Using a minimalist approach by multiplying a single element as the only building unit of the project: zip ties. Limited by their linking possibilities, it was necessary to force the link to shape with material, using these linear elements as if drawing in three dimensions. The finalised designs revealed an uncanny similarity to abyssal creatures. Using lighting in photoshoot to accentuate this aspect.
