technical description
Handmade dress developed through an intuitive, loosely calculated process. Based on a simple, basic silhouette used a structural skeleton to slowly build up structures as if using flesh and feathers on a skeleton. Developed in silk organza, with corset boning in polyester and metal structures on the hip area.
concept
The fairytale of Sleeping Beauty, horror movies, work of Madame Grès and sculptures by Pablo Atchugarry, distilled in a collection about the idea of deference. Designer Marius Janusauskas depicts the story of a perfectly passive woman who remains motionless throughout an era. Her vital colours are vanishing. She is turning into an undead. The only sign of life is her blood, running through the stitches of her garments. She is trapped in time. Time pleated into the front of her clothes. Her back is cold, minimal, clinical.
