The other shore

concept

"The Other Shore" is about communication, between people and different art forms. The title describes its main image: when you stand waiting on one shore you cannot see the other side. What you see is just the waves coming and going, even if someone is waiting on the other side. Nikita has been mixing photography, video based on slow-motion, performance and work with space and objects. Ideally, this project would be a round exhibition space with several entrances (or a single entrance like in a lighthouse) with around 100 photographs hung in order but without a concrete "beginning" or "end" to the exhibit. Each photograph would be a stand-alone, expressing its own meaning. Combined with the other images more ideas evolve, just as letters make up words.
