Heel boot with a surrealistic and anatomical design, and a bicolour soft orange and nude suede pleated structure. Triangular-shaped knee strap with velcro; nude nappa counter, toe and heel; clean edges with tonal leather piping, and red leather lining.

concept

After seeing Robert Mapplethorpe’s exhibition “Perfection in Form”, Heyoung became obsessed with shapes and structures of the human body. Namely muscles, composed of numerous fibers drawing fascinating lines and building shape around the contours of the human skeleton. The combination of muscle lines creates unity, and this brings rhythm by repetition which is where Heyoung's investigation is focused, to develop a collection of shoes - and a pair of gloves - that mimics muscles and fibers by using leather making techniques of the highest quality.
