Part of a collection of men's shoes drawing parallels between formal footwear and medieval armour through juxtaposed patterns and references to decorative elements. Pieces of timeless elegance created through the use of traditional shoe-making and medieval intaglio techniques alongside modern laser etching. Boot combining silver and brown colours on the external upper, natural leather lining, black elastic, and a natural cuir sole with a classical constructed cuir heel.

"Rags make paper, paper makes money, money makes banks, banks make loans, loans make beggars, beggars make rags..." Following a personal assault, Weronica began evaluating how big a part fear played in our lives and studied how people protect themselves in dangerous situations. What makes a human being feel protected? What is their armour? Her research led her to the most iconic protective attire: the suit of armour. She was amazed by the level of craftsmanship involved and by their use as symbols of status. Fast-forward to contemporary society, how does today's man fight, when businesses sponsor wars and fund governments? Do corporations constitute armies? Has the banking system replaced the feudal system? If the pen is mightier than the sword, has the pinstripe suit replaced the suit of armour? Working on the assumption that bankers are the new knights in shining armour, Weronika picked the 4 biggest banks in the UK...and dressed them up to go to war.
