Fragmented narrative of a remote island

The series explored the relationship between narrative and photography. Each picture offers an original realm of escapism which invites the viewer to recreate his own story. Noemie was inspired by true anecdotes from a remote island in Orkney, Scotland. In her diptychs, she examined new ways of creating narrative by juxtaposing two photographs. Instead of incorporating several layers within a single image, she organised them in sequence. Small scenes of everyday life on the island based on transitory moments.
