concept

"Life is an experimental continuity, even though it is composed of broken wholes, deep hallows and paradoxical emotions". From this phrase Nilay developed a footwear project as an open platform to work on a re-invention of classical details. Tradition is visually present and can still be felt in the familiar emotions when looking at the shoes. While heritage persists new possibilities in design are followed in an attempt to change our perspective. Nilay is connecting us with a feeling often perceived when returning from travels that change points of view and beliefs: departing as a person and returning as another. The same applies to design: nothing is established and everything can be re-discussed without disregarding heritage.
