concept

The muse for this collection is Miss Cathy, a character invented by Mariëlle of a girl growing up with the friends of her twin brother. She’s always playing outside with the boys, but likes to escape this boys’ world with her doll Miss Kitty. Cathy and Kitty live in a fantasy world where everything is beautiful, feminine and fabulous, in their own created fairy tale. But Miss Cathy is growing up and becoming a woman, and occasions like her Holy Communion or weddings are moments when she feels like being part of a real life fairy tale story. We are literally projected inside Miss Cathy's ideal wardrobe here: garments inspired by doll clothes, by the boys world, by Holy Communion and by wedding accessories.
