concept

Heikki’s collection was inspired by anarchistic artists Astrid Lindgren (author of Pippi Longstocking) and Tove Jansson (author of “The Moomins”), authors who coalesced with the characters they created. In addition, more muses appear in his research for these garments, from Diane Keaton to Edith Piaf, Vanessa Beecroft, Susan Sontag, as well as musicians like Ennio Morricone and The Cure. By using traditional men’s tailoring and millinery techniques the clothes have been embedded with a strong sense of character. The outfits pay homage to women with a huggable feminism, an attitude that has exalted young boys and girls and put men to their knees. It was developed as a collection of real clothes for real people in an extended reality.
