Try to be the other - unhappy ending

2008-debora-vrizzi-photo-01.jpg
concept

Debora Vizzi staged 8 historical figures right before their death (and not without a pinch of irony). She chose these women because she found opportunities for self-analysis in each of them. She explored their bodies halfway between documentation and glamour. Marie Antoinette's inability to see the real world, Princess Sissi's ante litteram anorexia, Mata Hari's sensuality despite her average looks. Every “mise-en-scène” was an opportunity to experiment strong feelings, explore one's own relation with such historical figures and think about the idea of life’s end.
