Oversized double breasted grey melange wool coat with all over herringbone macro felt appliqués, fastened with silver horn buttons. Worn over a silk and cotton spencer jacket featuring trimmings embroidered with silver metal wire and micro beads, half sphere brass buttons fastened by a cotton rope embellished by metal tassels. Pleated silk silver organza jacket with peak lapels and cotton edging, and a poplin shirt with three-quarter sleeves and double cuffs with cufflinks. Paired with silk cotton shorts featuring asymmetrical pleating on the front.

concept

The backbone for Ek Thongprasert's collection is Saint-Exupéry's "Le Petit Prince": the differences between children and adults and the reasons why children, when they become adults, forget their most precious gift in life: imagination. The whole collection tells the story of a group of people tired of forcing themselves to become someone they are not and the beginning of their journey to rediscover their own identity. The outer later is the fake, the adult's skin. The inside layer is truth, the child, our true identity. Through a visual journey that drives structural inspiration from biology, the Indian caste system and autobiographic references of Ek's childhood, we are carried through a journey of transformation to make peace with our inner self and break free from the rigidities of our outer, constructed shells.
