Uniqueness is...hard to get

It is not that photographs are all portraits (a deliberate choice as Anouk feels this format overrated), that captures attention at first glance. Anouk was looking for a curious viewer, someone who would pick up on the uniqueness of this project, someone who would be eager to look at details, who would pay attention to the moment. These are all moments that reveal, through irony, what lies behind the preparation of each photo: the decisive seconds that would normally be discarded. This is exactly why they are warrant attention. They are unique because they have been caught on film.
