concept

Beauty exists everywhere in nature and is intrinsic to life. But in order to see things as we want to see them, we often let our discernment veil our eyes, sometimes to the point of obscuring what is essential. Anna immersed herself into the invisible through the use of an electron microscope to discover a variety of living forms, lunar landscapes and silk sculptures. In the development of her pieces she enjoyed taking risks, by playing and using different techniques and materials. The principal element used was Alternative Ivory, a specially cast polyester that reflects the natural elements of beauty, and allowed the experimentation of its unique qualities.
