concept

The idea for this project came from revisiting past family photographs taken for immigration related purposes in Spain and in the US. Using these existing photographs Remigiusz created a series of projection images which were taken out of their original context and slightly altered. Along with the projected images he included the people depicted in the projection. The alterations in the projections represented the loss and discovery of one’s new identity. Including the actual people, giving an insight into how aging is an integral part identity development.
