ITS 2020 Explained episode 10: Sustainable and ethical footwear, by Felipe Fiallo.

Felipe Fiallo is an innovative, provocative and modernistic Latin American fashion designer, who combines aesthetics, function, ethics and innovation. Specialised in accessories, footwear and sustainability and passionate in research, prototyping and handling end-to-end process.

He was selected for the accessories contest of ITS 2020 with his collection “We Go Far!” and won the People’s Choice Award.

With his sustainable capsule collection of sneakers Felipe wants to represent a new fashion generation. A new way of thinking, the outcome of a cross-contamination between digital fabrication, biology and sustainability to create a future aesthetics focused on a responsible, comfortable and stylish mobility. It is more than a collection, it is a wake-up call for action, the result of a deep research process on new technologies, circular economy, new materials, social inclusion and industry 4.0 to reinvent fashion while respecting the planet.

Most importantly, it created an ever-growing family supporting creativity, like branches on a tree growing in different directions, yet nurtured by the same roots.
