Friday 17 January 2025 — Sunday 4 January 2026
In 2025, ITS Arcademy extends beyond its walls with an open-air photographic installation. The Trieste city centre will be turned into an art trail able to engage with both residents and visitors from around the globe on a universal theme.
Organised with support from the Friuli Venezia Giulia Regional Authority, this urban exhibition celebrates GO! 2025 Borderless – Nova Gorica and Gorizia European Capitals of Culture, inviting the public to rethink the concept of visible and invisible borders as lines of contact rather than mere barriers.
The Installation
Curated by photographer Massimo Gardone, the installation features 10 large-scale photographs that celebrate the talent of the young designers participating in the special GO! 2025 Borderless Award, promoted by the Friuli Venezia Giulia Regional Authority and presented during the 2024 edition of ITS Contest. These works explore the absence and transcendence of borders through fashion and storytelling. Each piece challenges geographical, cultural, and personal limits, offering fresh perspectives on identity and belonging. Through Gardone’s lens, every creation narrates a story of transforming personal and material constraints into opportunities for connection and growth.
