concept

Music preferences are hard to visualise. People have their own unique, original playlists only inside their brains. Influences shaped by family, friends, maybe movies seen or books read. This inspired Rei and Jumi to create a surreal new form of communication by visualising thoughts, memories and musical tastes bursting out of our brains when listening to music. The brain activity materialises in the form of an ear monitor headpiece. Every ear set is bespoke determined by the customer's unique playlist. Created by exclusively using discarded, upcycled materials in an effort to recycle as much as possible and evolve new thoughts and expressions using old material. Believing that reusing the old to create the new is the way to go.
