concept

A wake up call: planet earth is full of rubbish, flowing from the rivers into the sea, to be eaten by fish which are then in turn eaten by humans. Humanity may well evolve to live in space but will be sure to litter there too. We might need to learn how to make fashion out of rubbish. This is why Yukika regularly goes to her local river. Training for the realistic scenario of a future we'd gladly avoid. Yukika Saito collects the rubbish she likes and uses it in her projects with discarded garments people no longer need. A radical approach to recycling and upcycling which also includes a powerful visual message on the environmental crisis.
