concept

Rafael Kouto is an avant-garde designer, with an uncompromising approach to sustainability. Creating clothes and accessories by reusing leftover stock and production waste. This couture collection is based on the uncertainty of the future, caused by a static balance between opposing entities that have not yet aligned. In his work, Rafael transforms the human being, clothes and scraps of fabric into suspended bodies that cannot fall, in a new form of escape from reality. The heritage of Swiss textile culture blends with African craftsmanship, forming a new unity and an exotic and bright military aesthetic.
