concept
A journey into Eda Shriprom's sexuality, growing up as a transexual in Buddhist Thailand. Even when introducing herself as a male her transexuality was not accepted. This is why the collection was created studying the monk robe. Eda discovered fascinating details about the history and intellectual aspects of this garment. She replaced the traditional fabric with used materials, reconstructing the silhouette while preserving the original underlying philosophy. The final outcome was a universal, non-gender spiritual uniform that is ahead of social norms and does not attach an identity upon the wearer.
