concept

Designer Séro Oh looked at abstraction in all domains of art, exploring its origins related with causality in history: around the 19th century, artists felt the need to abandon a faithful representation of reality and answer new abstract concepts, inspired by technological developments and new philosophical currents. Séro was inspired by abstract photography, giving a new contemporary look from a fashion perspective, focusing on recomposition, distortion and casting off of pre-existing clothing codes. The goal was to destroy any kind of objectivity branded onto the garment. Through this study, the human body was undressed of any conventional codes revealing the essence of the garment and illuminating the ontological meaning of our being.
