concept

Takafumi looked to his mother for this footwear collection. He was inspired by how she mends family clothes without using a sewing machine. She isn’t that good at making repairs, but through her distorted sewing technique Takafumi feels her love and dedication for their family. In the same way that her mother puts her unconditional love in mending the family’s or anyone else’s clothes, his shoes are filled with his own heart and love, providing that feeling of craftsmanship and passion that only bespoke handmade pieces can give.
