concept
Initially inspired by China's imperialist attitude towards African resources. Exploring this through outfits that narrate a militarised, industrial fantasy world of the future where these influences melt into a fragmented k-hole that ends in the streets of sparkling Shanghai. The development of these flickers between juxtaposing natural (Africa) and synthetic (China) elements, by referencing Shanghai's city lights by using actual leds embedded in his jackets, and by re-assembling and mixing military garments and tribal, primitive aesthetics.
