concept

When Tomoko was 25 years old she stumbled upon an old box covered in dust full of old watches in an antique market in Milan. Every watch has its own time and its own life just like every human being. There was a special shine to those watches and she wondered if they could be used again in some way. Chance be she came across an old World Map in an antique market in Paris that immediately reminded her of the concept of time. Looking at that map was like looking at the earth from light years away, wondering of human beings and their relationship with nature in that distant past. Tomoko's jewellery uses watch mechanisms and historic cartography to express the strength and harmony between man and nature caught between the frailness of time.
