concept

Created from Joanne's research into diamonds, this collection of shoes has been cut, faceted and produced with an aesthetic impression similar to the cut of diamonds. Looking at the clean lines and shapes of traditional diamonds such as marquise, pear, brilliant and the more avant-garde cuts such as briolette, her designs extract geometric shapes like the rhombus and the pentagon, translating them into bespoke lasts with geometrical toe shapes resembling eight different diamond shapes. The colour palette of the collection is derived from the mineral rock form of diamonds before being cut and faceted. With a gold band extended from the bottom of the toe cap running along the centre of the sole, the shoes also tap dance gracefully as the wearer walks to a different kind of rhythm.
