The happy childhood home of Lapland is Terhi’s inspiration through the development of this collection. It was produced entirely from reindeer leather, a more sustainable material being a by-product of the beef industry and all leathers are tanned in Finland. Before Terhi reindeer leather had never been used to produce high-end footwear even though it was very well known for small accessories and gloves. It allowed her to bring her Finnish heritage into her footwear designs. “It's like the first snow on the ground when you can still see the green grass through the snow. It's like a spring sunbeam after a long, dark, sunless winter.” These shoes pay tribute to her memories of Finland, where the winter nights are cold and long while summers are warm, short, but sweet.
