The signs and the culture of a country strongly and elegantly pervade this series of photos. It is impossible to define a genre as it is impossible to translate feelings. Looking at the other is like looking at ourselves. If we look only at the outside world it appears cruel. If we look at it from the inside, it appears weak. Photography, in Kazutaka Nagashima's project, takes its time to observe. And everything seems to go back into place when you look at it through a camera lens.
