Checkered perforated synthetic organza maxi tunic top featuring a deep V-neck, basque and sleeves composed of ruffled flounces, ruched shoulder pads, a hood and lapels embroidered with matching floral detailing; lace closures with maxi silver fringes. Worn with a pair of low-rise dark grey denim trousers embellished with pleats and riveted trims, worn detailing and contrasting velvet appliqués.

Monsters translated into denim. Horror films have been criticized for their graphic violence and have often been dismissed as B-movies. With the dramatic changes in technology that occurred in the 1950s the tone of horror films shifted away from the gothic towards science fiction, with an endless parade of low budget productions. Jan's research looks at some of the most iconic characters: the werewolf, the monster of the lagoon, Freddy Kruger...ironically, she is depicting them as the actors playing them, after a hard day of filming.
