concept
Takayuki started out from the idea that there can be different kinds of beauty. He was drawn to finding it in a fleeting moment. It is well exemplified in the moves of dancers, which only exist in the moment, drawing shapes in the air that are divergent in everyday life. The body might be twisted, the garment might be filled up with air. The shapes might be awkward, and Takayuki searched the beauty in this awkwardness, framing moments in time, translating it them in his designs. A preservation of what was never meant to stand still, a visualised memory captured in the flowing of time, fashion design used as a photographic media.
