technical description
Colour-blocked ribbed sweater with rib manipulations with t-shirt style print on top. Herringbone wool trousers with contoured seams and sportif structure. Manipulated side seams create contrast between stiffness and nonchalance. Multicoloured/pixelated felt cut-and-sew elements define seam shape through rigid contouring.
concept
Vishvajeet's collection focuses on the subjective perception of individuals, depending on who you are and how you interact with what you are seeing. This interaction can be well represented by Andy Warhol's interpretation of the Campbell Soup cans, or Picasso's "Woman with Outstretched Arms" and Christo's wrapping of monuments and landscapes. Vishvajeet carried this into clothes, trying to change the rules of interaction between a jacket and a shirt, between the shape of a zipper and the waistband, between back and front, draping and construction...Through experimentation we are confronted with proof that the same thing can be seen in infinite ways.
