concept
Engaging with nature's geometrical laws in the creation of shapes. From triangles and polyhedrons in crystals to curved lines in rudimental lifeforms. Nature evolves into infinite shapes according to a law of harmony that Si Kim attempts to replicate. Reflecting on nature's transition to various forms, its structural order and system and attempting to distill these natural biological shapes by generating laws and formulas. In the development of the bag collection, Si Kim incorporated the rules of Sonobe - a fundamental unit of Origami - to obtain three-dimensionality and looked at the shapes of the shellfish for her pattern designs. Seeking to create shapes that are structurally as well as functionally perfect, to reflect the beauty of nature's harmony.
